Former middleweight champion Jermain Taylor is going to take on current WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch who earned vacant title through a victory over Jean Pascal last December. The bout against Taylor, which is due to take place at the MGM Grand Theatre on 25 April 2009, would be the first defense of Carl Froch for his WBC super middleweight title. No doubt, Jermain Taylor is now gearing up to clinch his second world championship title.
Jermain Taylor resumed training in October 2008 after missing boxing for two years, following his back-to-back defeats at the hands of Kelly Pavlik. In fact, these are the two defeats Taylor suffered during his successful professional career which read 28 wins including 17 knock outs, 2 defeats and a draw. Carl Froch, who is undefeated in his professional career with 24 wins including 19 knock-outs, is going to defend his WBC super middleweight title against Jermain Taylor.
