Boxer Anthony Cacace to Take Part in the Irish Championship

Anthony Cacace is not a big name in the boxing ring. However, do not be surprised to see him make the headlines very soon. In fact, the Irish has already won the Ulster senior title in 2007 at the age of 17. Anthony Cacace is now preparing to take part in Irish championships this year and can be a surprise performer to win the title and ensure a place in the Beijing Olympic Games 2008. Coach Mickey Hawkins is also hopeful for his success.

Belfast Telegraph reported:

Cacace, who has moved from Oliver Plunkett to Holy Trinity, is certainly moving up a level but Hawkins is unconcerned.
Hawkins said: "Anthony has been working very well over the past six months and I feel that he is capable of handling whoever he faces. We're putting him in and we'll see just where he's at. Whoever he gets in the draw it's going to be his hardest fight to date."
