Paul Malignaggi Defends His Title Defeating Herman Ngoudjo

Canadian boxer Herman Ngoudjo has tasted only his second defeat in his career by American boxer Paul Malignaggi on Saturday. It was an International Boxing Federation light welterweight fight. With this victory, Paul Malignaggi has defended his title. Herman Ngoudjo has not yet been defeated in Canada but his record in USA is now 1-2. He played very well in the seventh round but could not show enough resistance in the last round.

AFP reported:

The 28-year-old Ngoudjo, of Montreal, Canada, suffered just the second loss of his career, falling to 16-2 overall.

Ngoudjo is a perfect 15-0 on home soil but is now 1-2 in three career bouts in the United States.

Making the first defence of the title since defeating Lovemore N'dou six months ago, Malignaggi (24-1, 5 KOs) began strong but was cut over his left eye in the fourth round at Bally's Hotel and Casino.
