Chad Dawson Defended IBF, IBO Light Heavyweight Titles against Antonio Tarver

Chad Dawson has successfully defended his IBF, IBO light heavyweight titles, winning a unanimous decision over Antonio Tarver in a rematch. Earlier last October, Dawson posted an easier victory over the same opponent, but this time, Dawson faced stronger challenge from Tarver.

Dawson, at 26, was much more accurate and fast compared to Tarver. However, you can not say that the Dawson had all out dominance in the fight. In fact, Tarver appeared in aggressive mode and flashed more punches, but it was not enough to stop Dawson from another victory. With this victory, Dawson’s professional record improved to 28-0 (17 knock outs), while Tarver’s record went down to 27-6 (19 knock outs).

Dawson is no where near as good Calzaghe and without beating Calzaghe he won't be the best pound for pound. Calzaghe can't be coaxed out by a weak showing against Tarver twice and Johnson. Good luck Dawson floundering. www.morethansportsbutmainlysports.com
