Paul Williams vs Ronald "Winky" Wright on 11 April 2009

Two-time WBO welterweight champion Paul Williams is going to face fellow American boxer and former undisputed light middleweight world champion Ronald "Winky" Wright in a fight in middleweight category at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on 11 April 2009. 27-year-old Paul Williams is thought to be the ultimate favorite against Ronald "Winky" Wright who, at 37, seems to be at his best at this moment. Specially, this will be return of Winky Wright after a 21-month lay off.

Paul Williams is now one of the most feared boxers in the middleweight division and it seems that Winky Wright will face some challenges from Paul Williams in the upcmong bout. Paul Williams has already defeated the former world champions like Antonio Margarito, Carlos Quintana, and Verno Phillips and he is one of the quickest punchers in this division, and at 6feet 2 inch, he is considered to be one of the most feared boxers in middleweight division at this moment.

Winky Wright also has lots of success during his illustrious career during which he has had victories against Shane Mosley, Felix Trinidad, and Ike Quartey. However, you can not just ignore the fact that he is returning to the boxing ring after 21 months. I would not be surprised if Paul Williams easily gets by Winky Wright in the April 11 fight. Paul Williams has an impressive professional boxing receord with 36 wins including 27 knock outs and one loss, while Winky Wright also holds an excellent professional record with 51 wins including 25 knock outs, four losses and a draw. Now, let us see if Winky Wright can put on some excellent performance and defeat not only Paul Williams but also his age.
